Supertrash exhibition :The Blob 1988 poster interpretation ….

Pour participer Ă  l’exposition SuperTrash, organisĂŠe ce mois d’aoĂťt Ă  Portland j’ai du m’atteler Ă  une tache sympathique mais pas ĂŠvidente : faire une “affiche alternative” pour un film de prĂŠfĂŠrence trash, prĂŠtentieux, gore … en gros un bon film de notre adolescence (ou pas) qui a marquĂŠ sa gĂŠnĂŠration (ou pas).

Devant mon inculture en la matière (parce qu’Ă  part des trucs comme Zardoz ou Shaun of the Dead ou Braindead je suis absolument pas en mesure de rĂŠpondre Ă  un “Question pour un champion” spĂŠcial nanars) j’ai choisit The Blob en prenant celui de 1988 parce que dedans il y a des pompom girl et que du coup je pouvais jouer avec ça (et aussi parce qu’il est plus marrant que le premier avec son cĂ´tĂŠ eighties, les eighties c’est fabuleux pour ça, ça rend les films drĂ´le juste Ă  voir comment les acteurs sont habillĂŠs)…et voilĂ .

To participate to the exhibition SuperTrash, organised this August in Portland, I havd a nice but not easy challenge: make a “alternative poster” for a movie preferably trash, pretentious, gore … roughly one good movie of our teenage (or not) that leaves it’s impression on its generation (or not). Facing my ignorance on the matter (because apart from stuff like Zardoz or Shaun of the Dead or Braindead I am absolutely unable to respond to a “Ask a champion” special about trash movies). So I chose The Blob taking the one of 1988 because there are cheerleaders in it and I could play with it (and also because it is more fun than the first Blob movie, with it’s side eighties look, the eighties are fabulous as it makes some movies fun just to see how actors are dressed) … and that’s it.
