My skin is metal
My skin is cold
That’s just normal
I’m told
And why do I care
Anyway?
I just have software
So they say
Do I not bleed, do I not feel?
Who cares my heart is an engine
Who’s to say I’m not for real
I am more than a machine
My eyes are glassy
My eyes are sore
They allow me to see
Much more
Than pixels and light
You know
And sometimes at night
They glow
Do I not fall, do I not hurt?
When you push me into the dirt
Who’s to say I don’t have a soul
Who’s to deprive me of a goal
Do I not bleed, do I not feel?
Who cares my heart is an engine
Who’s to say I’m not for real
I am more than a machine
