I told you on Jan14th (already!) that I had been quite generous to myself - offering me, myself and I a (long) chocolate Toria Liberty coupon because I wanted to make that dress I also showed you then.
Last weekend's sunshine convinced me to get into it (hey, there's no way I am going to make a dress if I can't wear it right away, right?). And the result was... grotesque! And that expensive grotesque just can't be, can it? Fortunatly enough, the dress only consisted in 2 fabric rectangles - perfectly reusable (not chocolate sacrified!)
As I actually really really wanted a chocolate Toria summer dress, I just ended up browsing through all my japanese pattern books and Burda magazines until I spotted that pattern (from Burda 07/2009) I already had made - last year, in my previous life, when I was a non-blogger.
Here was I, re-cutting, re-sewing, re-trying on and re-disappointed... I must have, in less than a year and without noticing, lost about 3 sizes (just for that model of course). Fortunately, after my morning disappointement, I realized it before sewing it all together and, by adding a few more ruffles and smocks in the back, I rescued my chocolate Toria...
