Puzzle 42 : Alone in the Dark

All my life I’ve been waiting, and I tried carrying the weight of the world, but I only have two hands. Loneliness has always been a friend of mine, and I would build walls for miles around me, but I think some company is overdue.

In restless dreams I walked alone, narrow streets of cobblestone, feeling my way through the darkness, guided by a beating heart. There must be some kind of way out of here... There is a crack in everything...

If there is a dark within and without, and there is a light, don't let it go out. I've come a long way from where I began. A revelation in the light of day, maybe this is the part when I break free and accept that I don't have to try so hard.

Toute ma vie j’ai attendu, et j’ai tenté de porter le monde sur mes épaules, mais je ne suis pas assez forte. La solitude a toujours été de mes amis, et j’ai beaucoup construit de murs tout autour de moi à des kilomètres à la ronde, mais je pense qu’il est plus que temps pour un peu de compagnie.

Dans mes rêves agités je marchais seule dans d’étroites rues pavées, avançant à tâtons dans l’obscurité, guidée par un cœur qui bat. Il doit bien y avoir un moyen d’en sortir... Il y a toujours une faille quelque part...

S’il y a l’obscurité dedans comme dehors, et s’il y a une lumière, ne la laisse pas mourir. J’ai beaucoup avancé depuis que j’ai pris la route. Une révélation à la faveur du jour, peut-être est-ce enfin le moment de briser mes chaînes et d’accepter que je n’ai pas besoin de m’acharner.
